Kia launches the Carnival Mk4 in South Korea

The fourth generation of the Carnival Grand Utility Vehicle, as the manufacturer likes to call it, goes on sale domestically priced at 31,600,000 South Korean Won (approx. 26,650 USD) and above.

The Kia Carnival IV is available in 7-, 9- and 11-seater versions and is advertised as a highly utilitarian vehicle combining the best features of crossover SUVs and MPVs.

The cabin looks much like that of the new Sorento: there is a touch-based infotainment display and a digital dashboard covered by a single piece of glass, a touch panel for HVAC, a gear selector knob, and horizontal air blowers.

On its home market, the Carnival comes with three engine options: 2.2L diesel (202 hp / 150 kW), 3.5L gasoline V6 (294 hp / 219 kW), and V6 GDI (294 hp / 219 kW). All three work in tandem with eight-speed automatic and all-wheel drive.
