Just some 10 or 15 years ago, South Korean car marques were generally considered ‘affordable’ – but that era is long gone now. Such bestsellers as the Hyundai i30 or the 3rd-gen Kia Ceed (CD) have long been encroaching on the premium segment and getting various expensive aftermarket upgrades. This vehicle is no exception.
The show car here is a 136-hp (101-kW) strong Kia Ceed GT 1.6 CRDi customized by JMS Fahrzeugwerke in Germany. The centerpiece of the upgrade is the Tzunamee EVO wheel set by Barracuda Racing Wheels, installed in the 19”x8.5 size on both axles. The Flash Red finish on the spokes forms a perfect match with the pinstripes on the sides, the front lip and the rear of the car. The tire model used is Hankook Ventus 225/25 R19.
Wrapping up the list of changes are height-adjustable springs from ST Suspensions, thanks to which the car rides 40mm (1.6”) lower on the front and 35mm (1.4”) lower on the rear axle.
