New 2018 Kia Ceed officially revealed

The next instalment in the highly popular Kia Ceed hatchback model line has finally seen its official debut. Apart from the slightly altered model name, the vehicle comes with considerable changes in both the exterior and the interior, as well as several new features. It will be demonstrated in greater detail at the Geneva International Motor Show in Switzerland on March 8 – 18, 2018.

The 2018 Kia Ceed is based on the new K2 car platform which is reported to be much stronger and lighter than its predecessor, the J4. The dimensions of the new hatchback remain mostly unchanged from those of the current model.

The engine lineup is made up from three gasoline engines – a 1.4L atmospheric with 100 horsepower, a 1.4L turbo with 140, and a 1.0L turbo with 120 – and two 1.6L diesels rated at 115 and 136 horsepower.

Even at the base trim level the new Kia Ceed comes with a variety of safety and comfort--oriented systems and features such as a cruise control, a modern car stereo, and a wireless charger.
