At the Kia EV Day in South Korea on October 12, the automaker will reveal its electric vehicle release schedule and possibly also debut two new models, if this teaser image is any indication.
The photo accompanying the announcement is dark and shows five silhouettes of electric cars with their headlights on. However, if you pull the shadows in a photo editor, you will realize that three out of these five cars are Kia’s actual production vehicles: there are an EV6 and an EV9 at the sides with an EV5 in the middle. The cars standing in between them are new and still unannounced, though.
The one on the left seems to combine traits of a sedan, a coupe and a crossover SUV. It sports pronounced rear wheel arches and vertical DRLs – something Kia has never put on its EVs before.
The car on the right is a crossover utility vehicle looking smaller than the EV5. It’s possible that it is called EV4 and is envisioned as a compact, sub-€30,000 CUV for Europe. Having said that, the official announcement hasn’t sounded yet, so we should wait until there is more info.
