Kia will begin shipping its all-electric EV6 in early 2022, and the pilot batch limited to 1,500 cars will be available to pre-order on the manufacturer’s website against a $100 deposit starting on Thursday, June 3, 2021.
The EV6 First Edition will debut in a number of exclusive color combos, a digital dash cluster with Augmented Reality support, panoramic sunroof, high-end audio, original 20-inch wheels, and intelligent parking assistance.
Powering the crossover SUV are two electric motors joining their forces in an AWD system powered by a 77.4-kWh battery. The company will be offering a gift with every purchase, which can be a home charger, an Apple iWatch, or a period of free charging at the stations.
The Kia EV6 is technically related to the Hyundai Ioniq 5, both built on the E-GMP platform and featuring a 800V system that supports rapid charging.
