A jury composed of popular car reviewers awarded the Kia EV6 a total of 279 points, securing it the title of the European Car of the Year 2021. Next down the ranking were the Renault Mеgane E-Tech Electric, Hyundai Ioniq 5, Peugeot 308, Skoda Enyaq, Ford Mustang Mach-E, and Cupra Born.
This is the first time the South Korean brand claims a prestigious award like this. The all-electric EV6 has up to 528 kilometers (328 miles) of WLTP-rated range if you opt for the larger 77.4-kWh battery. The smaller one is not that far behind with a capacity of 58 kWh, though. Buyers can also choose between RWD and AWD variants.
The jury commented that the EV6 was chosen for its rapid charging and excellent range for the price. Compared to its technically close Hyundai counterpart, it exhibits less side rolling, handles better overall and is sportier.
