Kia’s robot dog helps find homes for 22,000 animals

Here’s a warm and fuzzy story you’ve been all expecting this time of year: Kia and The Petfinder Foundation had teamed up over the past several months to find homes for orphaned and abandoned pets. As a result, more than 22,000 furry creatures found new families.

Before it could begin, though, Kia filmed a video ad about a robotic dog for the NFL playoffs in the USA. That story starred a battery-powered robotic mongrel that once saw a man charging his Kia EV6 and fell in love (it wasn’t clear if it was with the man or the EV6; perhaps both).

Driven by emotion, the robo-fido chased the car across half the town and finally caught up with it – only to realize its battery ran out. Don’t worry, though – the end was still as happy as they get.

Those who have seen the promo video will agree it was one of the highlights of the NFL playoff ad lineup, and we know also know that it served a charitable purpose.
