At the end of the last year, we showed you a Kia EV6 GT sprinting down a German highway hitting its speed cap in mere seconds. A new video from L’argus on YouTube ups the ante by showing the EV6 dominating the North Loop.
The driver was able to maintain speeds higher than 100 km/h (62 mph) for the most part of the hot lap, but utilized the car’s instant torque on several occasions to hit 225 km/h (140 mph) on relatively straight stretches. In case you forgot, the battery SUV packs 585 PS (577 hp / 430 kW) and 740 Nm (546 lb-ft) of torque from its dual motors.
Perhaps the most exciting aspect of this video is just how silent the car manages to stay throughout the whole run. You will see the tires squeal and hum as the driver floors the pedal, but otherwise the impression is that of a stealth bomber readying to take off.
