YouTuber Edmunds Cars has uploaded the footage from a U-drag race between a Dodge Challenger Black Ghost and a Kia EV6 GT. Both drivers had to race on a 402-meter-long drag strip, turn around as fast as they could, and race back.
The Dodge Challenger Hellcat utilizes a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 that hits the rear wheels with 818 PS (807 hp / 602 kW) via an eight-speed automatic transmission. Going from zero to 97 km/h (60 mph) takes 4.6 seconds, and the standard quarter-mile is around 12.4 seconds.
The electric Kia EV6 GT lags behind with its 585 PS (577 hp / 430 kW), but compensates by having two tricks up its sleeve – instant torque and AWD.
