The South Korean manufacturer has shared official images of its impending all-electric crossover SUV, the EV9. The camouflaged prototype was photographed as it was running laps down the company’s Namyangju-si test track.
Despite all the disguise, it is clear that the final production car is barely any different from its concept version (see video). The tests on the day of the photoshoot were conducted to se how well the prototype would handle on uneven surfaces, both dry and wet. Kia says other EV9 vehicles were simultaneously running similar tests in other parts of the world.
Like its conceptual predecessor, the SUV sports triangular c-pillars, characteristic front and rear ends and the same outlines. As usual, though, the side cameras and suicide rear doors get ditched on the way to the mass market.
