Kia EV9 hits the street with production body and headlights

The Kia model range will be complemented with a large electric SUV named the EV9 later this year. If the rumors and these freshly made spy shots are accurate, it will look very similar to the show concept.

The EV9 in the gallery below has no camo on, but makes intensive use of cloth wraps instead. The front and the rear ends in particular look unrecognizable compared to earlier prototypes, but we remember that those had a distinctly boxier, edgier look to them. This will likely be the case for the production car as well.

Even though the EV9 is shaping up to be a very precise replica of its original concept, some parts are still new. The headlights in particular look different.

Inside, the driver will be looking at a digital screen mounted behind the steering wheel, while the infotainment display will be vertical.

Rumor has it that the EV9 will ship with battery range options from 350 to 790 kilometers (219–491 miles) and up to 400 metric horsepower (394 hp / 294 kW).
