Car spotters have tracked down a pre-production Kia K3 testing out in the open in South Korea. The same model is known as the Cerato or Forte in other countries.
The sedan only changed generations two years ago (watch the video for details), so it looks like it will be getting a minor refresh. Thick camo wrap prevents us from seeing what exactly may be changed.
Industry experts believe the newcomer will debut with a redesigned plastic body kit and design changes that will make it look more like the latest K5. It should also get an advanced infotainment system with a 10.25-inch display, a digital dash and a whole range of electronic assists.
A new 1.5-liter T-GDI or a 1.6-liter CVVD turbo engine may complement the range, and the manual transmission may become “intelligent”, like in some other planned Kia releases. We will not know for sure until the official reveal, though.
