We have already seen low-quality spy pics of the Kia K8 from the inside, but there is no disputing the fact that the manufacturer’s own photos are better.
After the BMW iX, Cadillac Lyriq and Mercedes-Benz EQS, the K8 will join the club of vehicles with giant curved displays. A single pane of glass combines the 12-inch digital dash cluster and the touch-sensitive center display.
The trim scheme involves such premium materials as leather, wood and metal. The HVAC controls are sensor-based, diamond patterns are used as ornaments, the dual-tone steering wheel is new, and the ambient lighting is atmospheric. All in all, it looks like the interior is second to none, not even the range-topping Kia Quoris/K9/K900, while being even more tech-heavy. The K8 is also set to become Kia’s first model to benefit from a premium 14-channel Meridian audio system.
The K8 is coming to the market to replace the K7/Cadenza. At 5,015 mm (16.45 ft.) long, it is marginally longer than its predecessor. Its powertrain remains a mystery.
