Following a couple exterior photos of the upcoming 2020 Kia Mohave, the South Korean car manufacturer is showing us the cabin along with some technical specs.
As you can see, the interior of the car is brand-new, dominated by a 12.3-inch digital dashboard and same-sized multimedia display (the pre-facelift SUV had an 8-inch multimedia screen). A 15-speaker Lexicon audio system is installed, and natural wood and leather are used throughout. Customers may choose versions with 5, 6, or 7 seats.
All trims ship with the same old 3.0-liter, six-cylinder turbo diesel engine rated at 260 hp (194 kW) and 560 Nm (413 pound-feet) of torque, linked to an eight-speed automatic transmission. The front-drive transmission clutch and reduction gear are still there, granting the SUV on-demand AWD capability, and the AWD system has a few new drive modes to select between.
The dimensions stay almost unchanged at 4,930 mm (16.17 ft.) long, 1,920 mm (6.3 ft.) wide and 1,790 mm (5.87 ft.) tall if you count the roof railings. The wheels have grown in size considerably: the new Mohave sports 20-inch rims, while its predecessor offered a choice between 17- and 18-inch ones.
The official reveal event is scheduled for September, but pre-orders are already open in South Korea.
