For many months now, prototypes of the next-gen Kia Niro have been spotted in various parts of the world running road tests. The official launch will take place later this week, and here are some photos in the meantime.
One can claim with certainty that the car takes much after the HabaNiro Concept: the main body outlines and the lights all around are virtually the same. An added couple of doors in the back is new, though, and the front doors now swing open normally (the concept had gull-wing doors).
The interior leans strongly towards the electric EV6: the steering wheel and the solid touchscreen are the same. As for the power, Kia promised to keep the hybrids and the electric powertrain in the lineup while improving their efficiency.
