Kia is preparing the Picanto hatchback for its planned beauty surgery, as evidenced by these photos posted on KoreanCarBlog. Judging by them, the manufacturer wants to bring the design closer to that of its range-topping electric SUV, the EV9.
This implies serious changes all around. Starting with the front end, the bumper is more pronounced and has a larger air intake. The radiator grille and the LEDs all around are also new, and if photo number 3 is any indication, Kia is going to advertise the headlights as a major innovation. There is an added LED strip at the rear end, too. The cabin remains to be revealed.
In terms of features, we are promised many modern driving aids and a hybrid powertrain designed specifically for Europe markets.
The current-gen Picanto (see video) debuted six years ago.
