Car spotters have tracked down a facelift version of the Kia Rio coursing along public streets in Germany. By the looks of it, the model will retain its ‘affordable’ status.
The camo wrap is so thick, even the exterior features are hard to judge at this point. In all likelihood, the front grille and the headlights will be updated, whereas the rear end will stay largely unchanged, save for a few minor touches.
It is official that in Europe, the 2020 Rio will ship with the same engine range as before the update. This includes the 1.2-liter non-turbo engine and a 1.0 TSI. Rumor has it that a Rio hybrid might emerge later with a large traction battery on board, but no official confirmation exists at this point.
