Reports from India are coming that Kia is working on an affordable mid-size MPV based on the Seltos drivetrain and tech. The country should receive it in early 2022.
Size-wise, the newcomer should rival the 4,585 mm long Mahindra Marazzo. The original Seltos – which you can have a better look at in our gallery and the video here – measures 4,315 mm long. Signature traits, like the “tiger’s smile” grille and the elaborate headlights, should also make it to production.
Other expected features include alloy wheels, a reversing camera, cruise control, ambient lighting, and an engine start button. Higher trims will benefit from ventilated seats, a HUD, all-around cameras and a panoramic roof.
Last but not least, the Seltos should provide the new MPV with its engines – an 1.5-liter gasoline engine and a same-sized diesel one, both rated at 117 PS (115 hp / 86 kW).
