Kia presented the redesigned Seltos on its domestic market of South Korea this summer, but the U.S. version has remained under the wraps – until now.
The car is slated to reach the showrooms in the first half of 2023, but the full specifications have already been revealed. On the outside, the North American facelift is identical to the Korean one. The main difference is in the powertrain department: customers in the States get a reworked 1.6-liter turbo engine now rated at 195 hp (198 PS / 146 kW). The mill is linked to all four wheels through an eight-speed automatic.
As usual, the standard four-cylinder engine with 146 hp (148 PS / 109 kW) and 179 Nm (132 lb-ft) of torque remains the cheapest option. This one comes with a CVT and supports FWD and AWD.
As far as the interior goodies are concerned, buyers get a 10.25-inch digital dashboard, a 10.25-inch infotainment display and four USB ports. Going for a new X-Line Package nets you 18-inch wheels, an alternate radiator grille and black exterior accents.
