Kia has posted a short vid dedicated to the upcoming premiere of the 2024 Seltos. It looks like the crossover SUV will get the same updates as its previously revealed counterparts from Korea and the USA, but with its own engine lineup. The full reveal will take place tomorrow, July 4.
Like its South Korean namesake, the 2024 Seltos for India has multi-section headlights, a new bumper with fang-shaped trims and a 3D-pattern radiator grille. Like the front lights, the brake lights are new and accompanied by horizontal LED stripes.
The main highlights inside are a big two-screen display and a new HVAC unit. The rest of the cabin remains to be revealed, but in the South Korean version, the transmission selector was replaced with a rotary knob. The standard equipment will include a panoramic roof, a two-zone climate control system and a driver aid package.
According to Autocar India, buyers will have three engines to choose from. The lower trims will ship with their usual 1.5-liter petrol mill producing 115 PS (113 hp / 85 kW) and 1.5-liter diesel rated at 116 PS (114 hp / 86 kW). The former maxes out at 144 Nm (106 lb-ft) and the latter at 250 Nm (184 lb-ft). Both are manual by default, but you can get CVT with the petrol engine or AT with the diesel.
For the first time on record, the Seltos will be available with a 1.5-liter petrol turbo mill rated at 160 PS (158 hp / 118 kW). This option will be restricted to the top trim levels.
