Kia Sonet becomes a seven-seater in Indonesia

Kia has unveiled a stretched ‘7’ version of its compact SUV Sonet for Indonesia. As you can guess, the car has room for seven people.

The rear row is represented by a bank for two that you can easily fold down to maximize trunk space. You have two options for this: either push the seat back down to the floor level or raise it to be vertical and push all the way towards the second row. Watch the second video in our gallery if you would like a practical demonstration.

As convenient as the above may sound, actually getting into the third row appears rather a challenge. To do this, you would have to lift a second row seat and squeeze yourself through the opening. Furthermore, it looks like the back seats were designed with smaller occupants in mind.

The Sonet 7 starts from 199,500,000 Indonesian Rupees, making it almost equal to the entry-level five-seater version. All versions draw their power from a 1.5-liter non-turbo engine rated at 115 PS (113 hp / 85 kW), with no other options to choose from.
