Kia Soner celebrates one year in India

Despite being relatively young, the Kia Sonet counts among the bestsellers of the compact SUV market segment of India. To appreciate it turning twelve months old, the manufacturer has launched a First Anniversary Edition.

The exterior of the car is apparently inspired by a primal image of the bull. The side sill overlays and front bumper details are supposed to imitate horns, and the rest of the body gets an assortment of orange accents.

The cabin probably stays stock, as does the powertrain. A 1.0-liter petrol three-cylinder rated at 120 PS (118 hp / 88 kW) toils under the hood and can be paired with a six-speed iMT, seven-range DCT, 6-speed M/T, or 6-speed A/T. You can also opt for a 100-PS (99-hp / 74-kW) diesel engine instead.

The First Anniversary Edition starts from 1,079,000 Indian Rupees, or 390,000 Rupees above the standard trim level.
