Kia Sonet X-Line debuts in India as a premium trim

The Kia Sonet X-Line for India is not an off-road edition of the popular local SUV, but rather simply a sported-up trim with more equipment and options on board.

On the outside, the car boasts a slew of black trim pieces and rides on special 16-inch wheels. Inside, the seats are finished in two shades of grey and red accents liven up the mood.

Buyers can choose from two powertrains. One is a 1.0-liter gasoline turbo mated to a pre-selective DCT for 120 PS (118 hp / 88 kW). The other one is a 1.5-liter diesel that goes automatic and makes 115 PS (113 hp / 86 kW).

The X-Line is already available in the country starting from $16,800, a small $250 premium over the standard version.
