Emilio Herrera, COO of Kia Europe, said in a recent interview that the company has a distinct roadmap for fighting CO2 pollution. It involves redesigning the Sorento model as a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV).
The mid-size SUV has been spotted out in the open during tests before. New features can be seen at both ends; the radiator grille now merges with the headlights, and the lights themselves are slightly smaller.
We do not have any technical information at this moment, but the company promises an ‘extended range of active safety features’ along with updated infotainment system.
The next generation of the Kia Sorento will likely hit the showrooms in 2021.
