The next iteration of Kia’s Sorento SUV has been spotted out in the open quite a few times already, and today, first spy shots of its cabin finally become available.
Based on the images, the car has a thoroughly redesigned interior. There are as many as three displays, but the hardware buttons and knobs are still present, and the gear selector comes in two shapes to choose from: a stick and a rotating knob.
As far as the equipment is concerned, the fourth-gen Sorento takes after its older and more expensive brother, the Telluride. It features plenty of USB slots – even in the third row, an enormous infotainment screen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support, a wireless charger, a HUD display, and more.
The range comes powered by diesel and gasoline engines with up to 2.4 liters of displacement. Rumor has it that a 3.8-liter V6 variant will also be offered with 295 hp (220 kW) at the crank. Aside from that, it is official that the new Sorento will ship in two hybrid versions: mild and PHEV.
No exterior images of the new Sorento are available to date except these spy photos and some unofficial 3D renderings.
