Kia’s Sorento PHEV, which you can see elsewhere in our gallery, debuted in August with a touch over 50 km (31 miles) of electric range. Those who would like to get more range in the same size and shape may want to wait until Thursday, November 11, when the EV9 hits the spotlight.
The company posted a single teaser image to its Instagram page, revealing little beyond the general outlines of the impending crossover SUV. In all likelihood, the model will become Kia’s next electric flagship and be even slightly larger than the Sorento (think Telluride).
In February this year, the automaker said it would use model names ranging from EV1 to EV9 to denote its new electric vehicles. The entire lineup will be based on the E-GMP platform.
