2024 Kia Sorento bows in South Korea

The Kia Sorento facelift was announced back in July, but the company has only shown us some live photos of the SUV now, along with revealing important technical details.

In South Korea, the old 2.2-liter diesel engine with 194 PS (191 hp / 143 kW) is still available, as is a petrol turbo mill with 281 PS (277 hp / 207 kW) and a hybrid powertrain. The latter consists of a turbocharged four-pot pumping out 180 PS and an electric motor contributing another 60 PS for a total of 240 PS (237 hp / 177 kW).

The main novelty inside is a solid glass panel that combines two formerly standalone 12.3-inch displays. The top trim version has a heads-up display installed. New options include a rearview mirror showing the video feed from a reversing camera, and side-wind compensation.

The new Kia Sorento will go on sale in South Korea in a few days.
