South Korea sent the Kia Soul to retirement on the domestic market in 2021 due to poor sales, but the model continues to be available in a number of countries, including the USA.
The mid-generational refresh revealed this week sees the Soul getting a new radiator grille, headlights and bumpers, as well as new 17- and 18-inch wheels to choose from and a couple of exclusive exterior finishes.
Customers can now opt for two new packages called LX Technology and GT-Line Technology. The former comes with 16-inch alloy wheels and some electronic aids, like blind spot monitoring and parking assist. The latter offers a premium audio system, smart cruise control, plenty of driver’s seat adjustments, and more.
Other than that, the cabin stays largely stock. The 10.25-inch infotainment display is now standard equipment for all trim levels except for the lowest. This, and Kia mentions moving the gear selector to a different position.
The old 1.6-liter turbo engine is no longer available, so buyers will have to make do with the naturally aspirated four-pot rated at 147 PS (145 hp / 108 kW).
Prices will be revealed closer to the sales launch this summer.
