The South Korean automotive giant has begun testing the next generation of its Sportage SUV – but we won’t be learning much from the only low-quality spy shot made today.
Still, the very fact that a prototype has made it onto the road indicates that the development is in full swing. Some time ago, Kia said it was postponing the launch until mid-2021 to reconsider the design philosophy of the car. Unofficial sources suggested that someone at the senior management Hyundai Motor Group didn’t like how similar the new Sportage was to their own range.
The Sportage is quite a cash cow for the Korean brand. It sells on numerous markets worldwide and is listed as a best-selling car in multiple rankings.
