The blackout trend spread far and wide in the automotive industry, and Kia did not escape it, either: after launching its Telluride Nightfall Edition SUV in the States, it now announces the Sportage Black Edition for Europe.
The scope of changes is typical for a premium upfit: the radiator grille, 17-inch wheels, special badges, bumper details, roof rails and headlight casings sport a black finish. Customers may still choose from 7 available body colors.
The interior is predominantly black as well, and you can pick fabric, leather or a combination of both for the trim. Dual-zone climate control, front/rear parking sensors and a driver’s assist package are listed under standard features.
Sales in Europe will begin next month. In the meantime, the next-gen Kia Sportage has already been spotted running pre-production tests (see video).
