Kia has upgraded this Sportage with off-roading mods to make it competitive at the upcoming Rebelle Rally.
Judging by the image posted, the company did not go the easy way of slapping a custom livery on the car and calling it a day. Other notable improvements include new wheels shod in high-profile all-terrain rubber and a roof rack. As for the lighting, though, it seems like the Sportage will have to rely on its stock headlights while crossing the desert.
The all-female rally will kick off on October 6, 2022 and go on for ten days. The Korean automaker promises us a detailed breakdown of the mods installed on this car a few days ahead of the start. The questions that intrigue us the most are whether the engine or the AWD system were tuned and how.
The Rebelle Rally route (watch the video for a better idea) spans around 2,400 kilometers (1,500 miles) across the deserts of Nevada and California.
