The South Korean car manufacturer KIA Motors has held an official presentation dedicated to the China-only variant of its Sportage crossover utility vehicle. It will go on sale soon with prices starting at U.S. $23,000.
On the outside, the new Chinese KIA Sportage may look quite a bit different from its internationally available counterpart, but has roughly the same dimensions and interior. The latter is decorated in trademark KIA style and features an up-to-date infotainment system with a large touchscreen as well as a whole range of driving assistants and other useful features.
The new KIA Sportage gets released in China with a 2.0-liter gasoline engine capable of 161 hp (120 kW). According to an official announcement by the manufacturer, there will be no model with 4WD support.
