The Swedish hypercar maker has shown us the highly innovative all-around view camera of its upcoming hypercar, the Gemera. The camera unit seems to levitate while rotating around its Y-axis under the windshield.
Unfortunately, the company never provided the rationale behind the design nor its working principle, leading people to guess its meaning. Some went as far as to nickname it ‘The Death Star’, after the iconic Star Wars spaceship.
The Koenigsegg Gemera is the first four-seater on record for the automaker. It comes equipped with a two-liter, three-cylinder, twin-turbo engine fitted with valve actuators on both ends, as well as three electric motors and a Direct Drive transmission design. It uses a 15-kWh battery, sprints 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 1.9 seconds and maxes out at 400 km/h (248 mph).
