Koenigsegg will bring a new hypercar called ‘Mission 500 Concept’ to the International Motor Show in Geneva, Switzerland kicking off in March this year. The name suggests that the track projectile could go beyond 500 kilometers per hour (310 mph).
According to media sources, the Mission 500 is based on the Jesko chassis (see the gallery and the video for details), but has its own aerodynamic kit, a more powerful drivetrain, and a tweaked multi-plate clutch transmission.
The Bugatti Chiron won the title of the world’s fastest-going production car in history last September when it hit 490 km/h (304 mph) at a Volkswagen testing ground.
In turn, the Jesko comes powered by a high-end twin-turbo V8 with dual turbine chargers. It produces up to 1,280 horsepower (954 kilowatts) when filled with regular gasoline, but ascends to 1,600 hp (1,192 kW) with the help of E85.
