When it unveiled the Jesko Absolut hypercar this spring (featured in our gallery), Koenigsegg said it would forever remain its fastest road-legal vehicle. Today, the Swedish automaker announced a new car that is specifically not road-legal.
The project has multiple temporary names right now, including ‘LM’, which may or may not be a reference to the 24 Hours of Le-Mans. The production quantity is not given, but unofficial sources suggest between 7 and 11 units.
Koenigsegg points out that its top priority is making the car perfectly controllable on the racetrack, as opposed to the fastest. This seems to imply that the Jesko Absolut will remain the fastest track tool currently on the lineup. In theory, it can accelerate to 500 kilometers per hour; in practice, the company is still looking for a suitable racetrack to test that upon.
