Koenigsegg debuted its clinically insane Jesko Absolut hypercar early this spring and soon realized that the ultra-fast racer had nowhere to unleash its full potential. With the video game Project Cars 3 releasing on August 28, however, it will at least be able to prove its mettle in virtual reality.
For the vast majority of people out there, playing the game would be the only realistic way to get behind the steering wheel of a Jesko. The supercar series consists of only 125 vehicles (Absolut spec included in this number), and every last one is sold via pre-order.
The Absolut shares the engine with the standard Koenigsegg Jesko, hitting the wheels with up to 1,625 PS (1,600 hp, or 1,193 kilowatts). However, its highly efficient aerodynamic kit and chassis enable it to sprint all the way up to 532 kilometers per hour (330 mph). The speed remains purely theoretical and calculation-based, however, because there is not a single racetrack in the entire world that could allow the Jesko to demonstrate the limit of its capabilities.
