The original Koenigsegg Jesko broke cover at the Geneva International Motor Show a few years ago, and the company has followed up with the announcement of a particularly uncompromising Absolut version of it. The pandemic and the ensuing chip shortage prevented it from being released soon, but the project is still very much alive.
The latest bunch of photos from the hypercar maker shows an early pre-production prototype wearing a Graphite Grey livery with orange stripes. It is Koenigsegg’s main test vehicle right now, powered by the same 5.0-liter twin-turbo V8 as the standard Jesko. A nine-speed transmission delivers the power to the wheels, and the drag ratio is as low as 0.278 Cd.
When boosted to the max and fed E85, the V8 pumps out 1,622 PS (1,600 hp / 1,193 kW). Combined with the efficient drivetrain and aerodynamics, this may result in a top speed of 530 km/h (330 mph) or close.
