Laffite announces 3 battery-electric hypercars

Laffite Automobili, a company owned by ex-racing driver Bruno Laffite, has unveiled a trio of all-electric hypercars scheduled for production. All three have been designed by GFG Style and will be manufactured by LM Gianetti.

Despite looking different from each other, the models are closely related from the technical perspective. All three feature a carbon-fiber monocoque, dual-wishbone suspension and rear-wheel drive. The positions of the steering wheel and the pedals are adjustable, but the plastic-framed seat is not.

The Atrax is a three-seat buggy with a rear wing and a diffuser. There are two main modifications: one with a trunk in the back and the other one with a spare wheel. The electric powertrain outputs an impressive 1,151 PS (1,135 hp / 847 kW) and 2,500 Nm (1,844 lb-ft) of torque, taking the buggy from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.8 seconds.

Next in the line is the LM1, a coupe with lifting doors positioned as a street-legal car for the track. It makes the same 1,151 PS, but the torque is capped at 1,600 Nm (1,180 lb-ft). It reaches 100 km/h in as little as 1.98 seconds.

The third and last novelty is called the Barchetta. It is the least powerful of the three with 586 PS (578 hp / 431 kW) at its disposal. Thanks to its relatively low weight of 1.7 tons (3,750 lbs), though, it still manages a launch in 3.5 seconds.

The Atrax is scheduled for a production run of 26 units priced from $1,690,000 each. The LM1 will enjoy a 24-unit run and cost from $2,400,000. The Barchetta will be capped at 26 units starting from $1,700,000.
