Lamborghini Miura bursts into thousands of little pieces

Swiss photographer Fabian Oefner has a special hobby: making photos of cars that seem to burst into thousands of individual components. Today, the talented artist came out with an “exploded” version of the Lamborghini Miura.

It has to be said that Oefner usually uses replicas, rather than real cars, but in this particular case he shot a genuine 1972 Lamborghini Miura SV that used to belong to his friend.

It took 24 months for him to finish the project. During the entire period, Fabian and his assistants used to come to the Lamborghini factory where the Miura went through a complete restoration, and meticulously photographed every tiny detail.

The total number of photos thus made exceeded 1,500. Fabian suspended each part on an invisible wire and photographed it, and then compiled the end result using computer software.
