Lambo Huracan gets a wristwatch-themed special edition

Lamborghini Squadra Corse has unveiled a special version of the Huracán Super Trofeo Evo racecar. The so-called “Collector 2019” series will emerge in 88 copies with prices still to be determined.

Compared to the regular Trofeo Evo, the limited-issue vehicle sports a unique roof graphics that depicts various parts of the Roger Dubuis Excalibur Huracán Performante wristwatch. It comes wearing a black-and-yellow livery with gilded highlights adorning its side panels, rear diffuser, hood, and front bumper.

The latest generation of the Super Trofeo Evo debuted a year and a half ago packing a V10 engine capable of 620 hp (462 kW). Unlike its predecessor, the current Evo has a sunroof, a fin-like aerodynamic attachment and a roof scoop.

In turn, the Roger Dubuis Excalibur Huracán Performante wristwatch series emerged as an homage to Lamborghini supercars. Their clockwork mechanism has a peculiar shape reminiscent of a V10 engine, the wind-up knob imitates the wheel centerlock, and the housing is stylized to look like a Lamborghini wheel.

The Italian luxury car manufacturer will be releasing its first-ever hybrid car next year. Rumor has it the vehicle will get a naturally aspirated V12 alongside an electric engine.
