The world famous automaker Aston Martin officially declassified the prototype of the revived DB4 GT - Continuation. The British company announced its intention to produce only 25 exclusive sports cars. An interesting moment - these cars will be able to ride only on the racing tracks.
The original model DB4 GT was produced by the company from 1959 to 1963. For 4 years, only 75 cars left the assembly line. 8 of them were made specifically for racing. These cars were named Lightweight, which opaquely hints at a lighter weight, compared to the original modification.
The sports car will receive the V6 engine with a capacity of up to 340 horsepower. It will work together with a 4-speed mechanics and a rear differential of increased friction. The weight of the car will be almost 1200 kilograms. Since the DB4 GT is a racing car, it will be equipped with a safety cage, racing buckets and a fire extinguisher in the cabin.
Now the original Aston Martin DB4 GT costs more than 3 million pounds sterling. The updated model will cost 1.5 million pounds sterling. The cars will be assembled exclusively by hand at the plant in the city of Newport Pagnell, where cars have not been produced since 2007.
