Lamborghini will be unveiling its first-ever hybrid-powered supercar at the IAA 2019 show in Frankfurt, Germany, on September 12-22. In the meantime, we can have a look at what appears to be its first teaser photo.
The car, which was previously known only as the LB48H, will emerge in a series called Sian.
Its exterior represents an evolutionary step forward from the Aventador with some Terzo Millennio Concept traits thrown in. The latter includes the Y-shaped headlights and some technical features. The car also has a rear wing with the number 63 on it, which refers to the year the company was founded.
Rumor has it the Lamborghini Sian will get a 6.5-liter V12 and either one or two electric motors. Their resulting output will be close to 1,000 horsepower (745 kilowatts). Some venture a guess that Lambo may ditch the traditional traction battery design in favor of supercapacitors (like it did with the Terzo Millennio Concept depicted here). The aforementioned concept car also sported an all-carbon body interwoven with nanotubes filled with a chemical solution that could heal minor fissures and dents on the go.
