The world-famous Italian manufacturer of luxury cars Lamborghini plans to release its first hypercar with a hybrid engine, by 2020. This statement was made by the head of the company Stefano Domenicali.
According to him, the novelty will replace the market Lamborghini Huracan. It will receive a more powerful power unit, batteries of increased capacity and other high-tech "chips".
Domenicali noted that existing technologies do not allow the release of a hybrid hypercar that meets the high standards of Lamborghini. While only gasoline engines remain ideal for installation on such cars.
By the way, the fact that Lamborghini specialists are developing a new car together with scientists from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology is not without interest.
