Lamborghini SC20 revealed on first leaked 3D pic

Lamborghini Squadra Corse has revealed the first rendering of its upcoming SC20 speedster model. The car looks a bit like the road-legal SC18 and could use the same engine as the Aventador SVJ.

The first photos showing the vehicle wrapped in thick camo wrap emerged a couple of months ago. Note especially the lacking windshield and two elaborately designed wind deflectors housing safety arches.

The new image has reportedly been generated for a client and depicts a vehicle that looks like the SC18, which in turn was inspired by the Huracan Super Trofeo Evo and Huracan GT3 Evo. It also came powered by the 6.5-liter Aventador SVJ V12 rated at 770 PS (560 hp / 566 kW) and 720 Nm (531 lb-ft) of torque. A seven-speed ISR semi-auto transmission delivered the momentum to all four wheels. It looks like the SC20 will be getting the same powertrain configuration.

The newcomer is expected to become a successor of sorts to the Aventador J that debuted at the Geneva Motor Show in Switzerland eight years ago and was sold into a private collection straight at the show.

Squadra Corse’s other recent project is the Essenza SCV12, a pure racecar armed with a dynamically aspirated V12 capable of 830 PS (819 hp / 610 kW). Watch the video for more details on that one.
