Mecum Auctions will be selling an exotic Lamborghini next month that’s not a sports car but a tractor. The Italian company produced it in 1962, a year before it started making light passenger cars.
The starting price is pending. The auction house points out that the tractor underwent a complete restoration in Italy a few years ago. It was torn down to the last bit and reassembled with all worn-out parts replaced. The body was then resprayed in its original shade.
Powering the tractor is a 2.2-liter three-cylinder diesel engine capable of 39 PS (38 hp / 29 kW). It connects to a four-speed manual transmission. The vehicle is technically sound and can be used for its intended purpose. It even has the necessary mounting points for farming equipment.
