Italian luxury car manufacturer debuted the original Aventador supercar back in 2011. The vehicle came equipped with a monstrous 6.5-liter V12 engine capable of 700 hp (522 kW) and could sprint 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in under three seconds. No wonder it was received with great enthusiasm and applause.
Our today’s guest is a different story altogether, though. Originally inspired by the Aventador, it is a 14-year-old Pontiac GTO at heart, wearing a highly unconvincing body kit and not even trying to be serious.
Whoever created it had at least some success imitating the front fascia and the center console of the Lambo. Too bad that most of the car body, chassis and interior remain bone-stock…
Oh, and don’t be misled into thinking the ‘replica’ has a mid-engine. The vehicle is still driven by the stock Pontiac GTO engine situated in front.
The Craigslist ad for the Aventador mockup quotes U.S. $22,500 in the ‘Price’ field. Whether you would want to buy something like this is another matter entirely.
Okay, would you?
