It’s only been a week since Lamborghini announced the open-top Huracan Evo Spyder, but today the company is happy to announce a new roadster in its Aventador series.
The Lamborghini Aventador SVJ Roadster comes equipped with a 6.5-liter naturally-aspirated V12 engine producing 770 hp (574 kW) and 720 Nm (531 lbft) of torque. It works in conjunction with a seven-speed DCT transmission, four-wheel drive and four-wheel steering.
The roadster sports aerodynamic choke flaps on its front splitter and rear wing supports. It also comes with a two-piece removable hard top that you can easily disassemble, fold and put into the trunk compartment located up front.
The car needs a trifling 2.9 seconds to get to 100 km/h (62 mph) and may ultimately cross the 350 km/h (217 mph) mark.
Lamborghini plans to limit the production of its new Aventador SVJ Roadster to 800 units, with first cars rolling to their respective owners this summer. Prices in Europe begin at €387,000 not including taxes. Thus, the roadster is the single most expensive mass-produced model in the Aventador series.
