Supercar maker Lamborghini has released a short video showing a new, currently unannounced racecar with a screaming engine on a dyno. The premiere is scheduled for this summer.
The details are scarce at the moment, but the company does mention the power rating of the V12 installed: 830 PS (819 hp, or 611 kW). It is also official that the production run will be kept down to just 40 units.
The video focuses on the engine that looks like the V12 6.5 of the Aventador SVJ, down to the minute detail. However, the road-legal SVJ packs 770 PS (759 hp, or 574 kW), while the new racer benefits from an additional power boost.
The first teaser pics emerged last fall, showing a racecar quite unlike anything else Lamborghini has in the lineup right now. Its main features include a giant rear wing, dual air intakes at the front, and aerodynamically shaped front splitters.
