Lamborghini intends to wave ICE cars goodbye in 2025, and 2022 is going to be the last year a non-electrified Lambo comes to the market.
According to Automotive News Europe, the company CEO Stephan Winkelmann confirmed in an interview that this year would be the last the company would offer non-hybridized, petrol-powered vehicles.
In 2022, the Italian marque intends to introduce us to as many as four new cars that should serve as its bridge of sorts into the EV world. No details are provided, but it seems obvious that the successor to the Aventador is going to be among them.
The company has so far allocated €1.5 billion for a transition to PHEV powertrains. The first Lamborghini PHEV will come out next year, followed by an all-electric model a few years later.
