Lamborghini Aventador successor spied testing again

The latest paparazzi shots of the supercar coming to replace the Aventador show it with less camouflage than usual, suggesting that the premiere is not that far away.

The vehicle has typical Lambo headlights, large air intakes in the front bumper, and even larger slits in the rear fenders.

The rear end is perhaps the most interesting part so far: notice the diffuser with four prominent fins and quad tailpipes raised to be level with the taillights.

Despite the environmentalists’ efforts to ban the V12 for good, the newcomer clings onto its twelve-cylinder mill with determination. An electric motor joins it for a plug-in hybrid system capable of all-electric movement. The manufacturer promises that going part-electric will not impact the driving experience too much, but specifics remain to be announced.

The one thing we know is that the car will gain weight due to the electrification, forcing the engineering team to redesign the suspension, steering, aerodynamics and braking to keep the overall handling character unchanged.
